DIFFERENT LANGUAGES. SAME CONNECTION.

A little closer,
in any language.

Good conversations shouldn’t get lost in translation. Write in your language. They read in theirs. Let the connection come naturally.

A small, invite-only beginning. Already invited? Come on in.

FOR THE PEOPLE ON THE OTHER SIDE.

A world apart.
A message away.

Family abroad. A new friend. A group with more than one way to say hello. Across makes room for everyone’s language, so you can focus on what you want to say.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before you say hello.

How do I get started?

Across is currently invite-only. If you’ve received an invitation, follow your invitation link to join. Existing members can open Across and sign in.

Does everyone need to use the same language?

No. Each person chooses their own reading language from those available in the app. Messages are translated for each reader, including in group chats.

Can I see the original message?

Yes. You can view the original text alongside the translation. Translations can make mistakes, so check the original or ask the sender when something is unclear.

How are messages translated?

Across sends message text to DeepL for translation. Messages are restricted to conversation members within Across, but the app does not provide end-to-end encryption.

IT STARTS WITH A HELLO.
